Home -- Frequently Asked Questions
You say it's strong. Tell me more.
For regular clothing - most shirts - the magnet and holder are very strong. It will hold over two pounds.
For a nylon fishing shirt, it's over three pounds. You probably have a 3-pound exercise weight. It will hold it.
How do I use it?
The special magnet goes on the inside of your shirt, and attach the holder with the loop on the outside, with the loop down. The magnet is very strong, so you may need to slide the magnet off. Hang your glasses on it, or attach your zinger or badge holder or clip.
Is that a nut I see? Why?
Yes. It happens to be a flange nut, just because it's the right size, material, and, since I designed it for the people who don't want a kitty or a duck on their shirt. Nothing against kittens or ducks of course.
What is the washer for?
Use the washer keeper to protect other things from the magnet when it's not in use. If you put the washer on, it will not strongly attach to things.
What if I lose the magnet?
You can order more magnetic holders.
What if I break the magnet?
If you drop the magnet, or let it smash against metals, it can break. It's sort of fragile. You can order more magnetic holders.
Why can't I make my own?
There is some research and development involved. It took me a while to get it all correct.
What if it ends up in the washing machine?
The magnet may stick to the side of your washer on the inside. It could hurt the clothing it's attached to. I found when I'm unloading the wash, it's stuck to the steel inside. I try not to do that.
What about pacemakers?
It's a strong magnet, and care should be used around pacemakers or other sensitive electronics.
Other Warnings?
It's not a toy, so keep from children. Other warnings are here.
How does it hold my glasses?
Hang your glasses on the holder part, and they will be there for you. Jumping around will knock them off of course.
